Registering for a match is as simple as 1-2-3:
- Select the open match you wish to register for
- Complete the form (including reading and acknowledging the waiver).
- Select your squad
Tips to filling out the form
Member Number – is your IDPA member #. You are not required to be an IDPA member, however we encourage it. Learn more about the benefits of IDPA membership here.
Class – Think of class as your skill level. Your class is determined by your Classifier score or rankings at state or national level competitions. If you are a new shooter or have never taken a classifier, select UN for unrated.
Division – refers to the type of gun you will be using and can be generally classified as follows:
- BUG (Back-up Gun) – semi-automatic pistol, .380 or larger, with barrel length of 3 1/2″ (3.5″) or less. A revolver, .38 cal or larger, with barrel length of 2 1/2″ (2.5″) or less.
- CDP (Custom Defensive Pistol) – semi-automatic handgun using .45 ACP cartridges.
- ESP (Enhanced Service Pistol) – a stock 9mm or larger semi-automatic with visible external modifications.
- REV (Revolver) – Classified as either Stock Revolver or Enhanced Revolver.
- SSP (Stock Service Pistol) – a stock 9mm or larger semi-automatic with few visible external modifications.
- CCP (Compact Carry Pistol) – semi-automatic pistol, 9mm or larger, with barrel length of 4 3/8″ (4.375″) or less.
- Laser – a local club designation grouping shooters using lasers in one category.

Categories – select as many as apply to you.
- Lady
- Junior – ages 12-17 (must have parent or guardian present)
- Senior – ages 50-64
- Industry – person who is employed in the firearms or firearms accessory industry
- Law Enforcement – active or retired LEO
- Military – active duty only
- Veteran – prior service
- Distinguished Senior- age 65+
